Beforehand awareness: I am aware that a lot of people out there didn't like the film, which is perfectly understandable. Acceptable. Fine. In fact, that's one of the many perks of being among the group in the world's population which works and relies on a one-hundred percent subjective navigational circuit. The variants of art. Trust me, I've had my disagreements with some film adaptations to books, graphic novels and historic events. But I must say, this one was right up my alley. Regardless of any prejudices some may have, and I say this without any attempt of personal justification, the movie itself was pretty cool. Coming from someone who had never read a Hellblazer book before watching the film, thus providing a clean slate. Needless to say, it got me into comic books all over again, after being utterly disenchanted by them for years, I'd say that's a pretty good outcome-- and they say romance doesn't exist anymore.
